The motion of charged particles in the external electromagnetic field of a collapsing star (CS) is examined in the drift approximation. It is shown that the energy of charged particles in the magnetosphere of a CS varies according to a power law. The rate of change of particle energy depends on particle energy, collapse phase, and the location of particles relative to the equatorial plane of the star. The relation between the rate of energy accumulation by particles and synchrotron losses also changes in the course of the collapse.
