The Hubble Space Telescope incorporates three Fine Guidance Sensors which generate the error signals by which pointing stability is maintained. To function properly, the temperature of these sensors must be controlled to within very precise limits. This paper describes the thermal control design and the thermal vacuum testing by which the design was verified.
