The properties of the anisotropy tensor (eta) of particle fluxes accelerated in the interplanetary medium due to statistical acceleration mechanisms is investigated on the basis of analytical solutions of the transport equation. The behavior of eta is analyzed as a function of particle velocity, distance from the sun, and acceleration parameters in the particular cases when the spatial diffusion or the diffusion in momentum space can be neglected. Numerical estimates of the magnitude and direction of eta for 1-MeV protons are presented, which are in agreement with measurement data for the earth-orbit region.
