The analysis of the recent photometry of satellites of the outer solar system allows one to note important advances in their description as well as in understanding their workings and place in the solar system, and the existence of many interesting unresolved problems. The determination of the scattering laws describing the photometric properties of the satellite's surface, the role of Phoebe as a simple contaminant of the leading side of Iapetus and the determination of the physical parameters of the Pluto-Charon system are the most interesting arguments, which require special dedicated efforts in the future.
