According to the Danjon scale, the dependence of lunar-eclipse brightness on the solar cycle phase is obtained in the form of an analytical equation. A less complex method for predicting the brightness of future lunar eclipses on the basis of five linear equations is proposed. A table containing the predicted brightnesses of lunar eclipses from 1982 through 2000 is presented. The influence that the products of terrestrial volcanic activity had on the brightness of lunar eclipses during 1982-1983 is also considered.
