The astronomical effects that occur in the equatorial plane of a stellar object due to rotation according to Kerr theory are calculated in the lowest order of approximation. The four possible tests known in Schwarzschild theory are considered, and only the advance of perihelion and the bending of a light beam show deviations in the equatorial plane of an astrophysical object according to Kerr theory.
