Papers concerning the coupling, energetics, dynamics and electrodynamics of atmospheric regions (CEDAR) are presented, covering topics such as the structure in the season variations of ionospheric ionization irregularities in the E-region in the South Pacific, the use of Doppler imaging to observe thermospheric neutral winds, thermosphere dynamics, and radar observations of TIDs in the D- and E- regions. The topics discussed include simulations of the seasonal variations of the thermosphere and ionosphere including variations of the interplanetary magnetic field, measurements of the dynamics and coupling of the equatorial thermosphere and the F-region ionosphere in Peru, wave characteristics obtained from OH rotational temperatures and 557.7 nm airglow intensities, and radar and rocket studies of high latitude mesospheric turbulence. Additional subjects include meridional electric currents in the equatorial F-region, the structure and circulation of the polar thermosphere under magnetically quiet conditions, low latitude thermospheric meridional winds between 250 and 450 km altitude, the diffusion of the plasma column inclined at an angle to the magnetic field, the use of the two-layer model to simulate the nonlinear evolution of a large scale plasma cloud in the F-region, and the effect of midlatitude electron precipitation on the geoelectric field.
