Based on the equation of state for supernova matter suitably constructed, the characteristicfeatures of hot neutron stars at the birth era, such as a "fat density profile", are demonstrated. Also,energies releasable in the formation and the cooling stages are estimated for the case with andwithout pion condensations and are discussed in connection with SN1987A.
