Based upon the data of envelope masses in eclipsing binary stars determined with polarimetric and spectral methods as well as upon those of mass losses calculated from variations in periods of these stars, the dependence "mass loss - envelope mass" has been constructed. The dependence is confirmed by the data on the eclipsing star with an envelope RY Sct.
