A lot of optical observations of the BL Lac object OJ 287, made during the last years, allowed to find a clear period of about 12 years. This fact led to assumption of the existence of a binary black hole in its center. The attempt to find this period in polarimetric data for the years 1971 - 1997 was done. Results reveal the presence of 10.5-year period, close to the optical one. A possible indication for 23-year period was found.
