We present 1.1-2.3 μm maps of the bow-shock HH99 obtained with SINFONI at ESO-VLT at spectral resolution between 2000 and 4000. More than 100 lines are detected, mostly coming from molecular hydrogen (~70), [FeII] (~20) and hydrogen recombination, the brightest of them being resolved in velocity. Such a huge amount of observational material has been used to derive bi-dimensional maps of both the kinematical and physical conditions of the shock-excited gas (extinction, electron density, temperature and ionization). These maps, along with images of the observed lines, allow us to provide stringent constraints to up-to-date shock models, and to determine the dynamical behaviour in the interaction between the bow-shock and the ambient medium.
