The expansion of the galaxy seeming to be detected by Kerr can probably not be explained as resulting from a rapid diminution of the central mass of the galaxy (this hypothesis being put forward by Field, Rees, Sciama). But it follows as a consequence from the scalar-tensor theory of gravitation (as developed by Jordan, Thiry, Brans-Dicke) if the valuedot f/f = - \varepsilon, as taken from the difference between ephemeris time and inertial time, has the correct order of magnitude. The events in the nucleus of the galaxy, triggering the Weber signals, must probably be collisions between neutron stars and normal stars.
