THE pulsar CP 0329 has been observed with an interferometer of 4.2 × 106 λ baseline at a frequency of 408 MHz. The results place an upper limit of 0.02 arc s on the size of the emitting region in position angle 93°. Although the angular size expected from current models1 and estimates of distance2,3 is several orders of magnitude smaller than this, the present limit has been established by direct measurement.
