We are performing a proper motion search for brown dwarfs in the solar neighborhood using multi-epoch (2004-2008) mid-infrared images from the Spitzer Deep, Wide-field Survey (8.5 deg^2). Although our analysis is in its early stages, we have already identified a source that is very likely to be a cool T dwarf based on its red Spitzer colors and high proper motion (0.35 arcsec/year). We propose to use NIRI to obtain a near-infrared spectrum of this source to spectroscopically confirm that it is a T dwarf. If confirmed, this source would be only the second free-floating T dwarf discovered to date by Spitzer.
