Soft X-ray spectra of C class flare from Jan, 21th, 2003 have been analysed. The flare was observed by Polish spectrograph RESIK in wavelength range 4-6 Å. This spectral region is dominated by lines of Si XIId, Si XIII and Si XIV ions. Unexpectedly high intensities of Si XIId can be explained under the assumption of a non-thermal electron distribution. The diagnostic uses combination of line ratios of allowed and satellite lines of Si. We have investigated the temporal dependence of the deviation of the non-thermal distribution from the Maxwell distribution during flare and the results have been compared with the results from previous studies of other flares.
