Accelerated particle beam are one of the mechanisms of the flare energy transport from the corona to the transition region and the chromosphere. Such beams heat ambient plasma and may affect atomic population via collisions. Using 1D NLTE radiative hydrodynamics we model influence of electron beams on hydrogen Balmer lines. In the contribution we focus on the effect of so-called non-thermal collisional rates on Halpha and Hbeta lines. Based on our results we discuss diagnostic methods for determination of beam presence in the formation regions of Halpha and Hbeta lines.
