Photophoresis has been proposed to play an important role in the evolution and physics of protoplanetary discs [1], [2], [3]. Dust embedded in a gasous disc is, in the presence of a radiation field, subject to photophoresis which causes the dust particles to move away from the light source. Even though a theory of photophoresis exists [4], the strength and the order of the parameters and their influence onto the porous protoplanetary dust aggregates is not well established. Parabolic flight and drop tower campaigns were carried out to study the photophoretic effect quantitatively for a range of relevant dust-aggregate materials as well as with respect to the influence of important parameters, such as gas pressure or light intensity. Here we present the results from these campaigns and implications on the dust motion in the inner protoplanetary discs. References [1] O. Krauss et al (2007), Astron. & Astroph., 462, 997- 987 [2] G.
