The R-chondrites are a relatively new classified group of chondrites, which are distinct from the carbonaceous, ordinary, and enstatite chondrites. The distinctive features of the R-chondrite are the high oxidation state, which is inferred from the high Fa content in olivine (~39-41 mol%) and the very low metal abundance, and the high ΔO17 value [1-4].
