The radioactivation method of analysis of and for the determination of gallium in meteorites has been developed to provide an accurate procedure for the determination of gallium in blende specimens. The geochemistry of the occurrence of gallium in blende is discussed, and the available evidence tends to suggest that trivalent gallium substitutes for zinc in the crystal lattice of the mineral.
