ABSTRACT We present the state of the art the Saturn Kilometric Radiation (SKR) characteristics and variability as observed with Cassini/RPWS/HFR. Thanks to the goniopolarimetric capabilities of this receiver, it is possible to retrieve the direction of arrival, the polarization of the flux of an incoming electromagnetic wave. It was thus possible to locate the sources of the SKR during close flybys. Statistical properties (source location, polarization and flux density, periodicity) of the SKR were also inferred from 4 years of continuous radio observations. Modelling the visibility of the emission has also been perform and provided constraints on the characteristics of the radio emission.
