The problem of determining the inelastic interaction cross sections and their energy dependences for hadrons and atomic nuclei interacting with air nuclei is examined in the context of the physics of cosmic rays. Theoretical predictions of the cross sections of inelastic interactions of pi, K-mesons, protons, and nuclei with air nuclei are presented for the energy range 10 to the 2nd - 10 to the 9th GeV.
