The heating facility at Ramfjordmoen near Tromso, Norway, has been used
to modulate the polar electrojet at frequencies in the Pc 5 range in
order to excite micropulsations. The first experimental results indicate
that pulsations with amplitudes of the order of 10 gamma were generated.
Even stronger effects are expected in future experiments.
