Scientific paper

A flat (i.e. Klein) model of the De Sitter universe, as given by Castelnuovo space-time, yields a universe with finite time. In the framework of this De Sitter-Castelnuovo universe, the velocity-distance in projective relativity and projective spatial translations are analyzed. In addition, a new formulation of the Doppler effect is developed. Limiting cases for the De Sitter-Castelnuovo universe are also considered.
