The age of the galactic open cluster Lynga 6 was determined using two evolutionary methods (comparison of the observed H-R diagram and a set of isochrones, luminosity of the most luminous main-sequence star). The age was obtained similarly for TW Normae, a Cepheid in the line of sight of the cluster, according to the period-age relationship. The present results confirm the hypothesis that TW Normae is an effective member of the cluster. The cluster age is estimated to be 40 million years.
