I have analyzed Mount Wilson 'S' values in the California & Carnegie Planet Search sample of over 1000 nearby dwarfs and subdwarfs and found correlations with evolutionary state and metallicity. In particular, among older (age > 6 Gyr) stars, the minimum observed 'S' decreases with increasing [Fe/H] and increasing height above the main sequence. This effect has caused many subgiants and metal-rich dwarfs to be misidentified as "Sun-like" stars in a Maunder Minimum-like state. I will show how activity indicators such as R'[HK], and the canonical age-activity relation need to be revised to include the effects of metallicity and gravity on measurements of Ca II H & K emission.
