Scientific paper

Observations of the zodiacal light made from the Helios 1 solar probe
near perihelion have been analyzed for the presence of a dust-free zone.
There is no evidence for a decrease in the dust concentration at
heliocentric distances of at least 0.09 AU, to the limiting accuracy of
a few percent in zodiacal light intensity.
