Scientific paper

The paper is concerned with the motion of a satellite about its center of mass in a circular orbit due to gravity moments, the satelliite being a rigid body with unequal main central moments of inertia. The Liapunov-Poincare method is used to investigate, in the region of possible values of the moments of inertia, the problem of the existence and derivation, in the series form, of solutions to the equations of motion for which the satellite tends asymptotically to its relative equilibrium in orbital coordinates.
