A method of analysis is presented for solving radiation transfer due to a point source in an absorbing, isotropically scattering, inhomogeneous sphere, which is subjected to a diffusely reflecting boundary. A representation of the space-dependent single-scattering albedo is given. The effects of various functional forms of albedo on the incident radiation, angular distribution of radiation intensity and emissivity are examined.
