The thermal-convective instability of a composite plasma in a stellar atmosphere is studied, taking into account the effects of a uniform rotation and a uniform magnetic field. The case in which both the boundaries are free and the medium adjoining the fluid is nonconducting is considered. The criterion for monotonic instability is found to be the same in the presence or absence of a uniform rotation and a uniform magnetic field.
