The contribution of QSOs to the cosmic X-ray background (CXB) is calculated by adopting a reasonable total evolution function and a determined functional relationship between the X-ray and the optical luminosities for optically selected QSOs. The sensitivity of the contribution to the deceleration parameter, the optical and X-ray spectral indices, and the other parameters in the X-ray evolution function is determined. The calculated values are compared with the results of cumulative X-ray counts of QSOs. The contribution of QSO and AGNs with M less than -10.5 m is found to be about 10 percent and 30-60 percent to the CXB at 2 keV, respectively.
