The constraints are discussed that can be set on the hot dark matter (HDM) picture for the formation of large-scale structure from the existence of QSOs at various redshifts. The model is described by a single parameter on which a firm limit is set independently of the uncertainty in the problem. It is found that conservative limits on the number density of QSOs do not rule out the HDM model for the spherical density threshold.
