A linearized F-region model is presented in which the loss rate varies
as e-2z, the conjugate region is treated as an extension of the region
considered and free diffusive transport of ionization is allowed. It is
found that transport of ionization between conjugate regions does not
greatly modify the derived ionization profiles.
