Controversy exists over the spectral character of the class of magnetic pulsations designated Pi2. A novel method of spectral analysis, known as the maximum entropy method, is used to obtain power spectra of Pi2 pulsations with substantially improved resolution. Of the various theories presented for generating Pi2's, only that of Doobov and Mainstone (1973) is in accord with our results.
