The influence of a nonuniform distribution of centrifugal mass forces on
the characteristics of nonstationary thermal stratification of a liquid
contained in a cylindrical vessel is analyzed. The conditions under
which a variable mass force may be replaced by an equivalent mean
gravitational force are established.
