The fractal concept is explained by physical and mathematical examples,
including Brownian movement, space distribution of cosmic objects,
coastal contour dimensions and bidimensional models of
conductor-isolator mixes. The Hansdorff dimension is applied to the Von
Kock curve and to various physical problems.
