Results of Venera 9 and 10 radio-occultation measurements of the radio refractive index in the upper atmosphere of Venus are presented. An analysis is made of the vertical profile of the refractive index, calculated on the basis of temperature and pressure measurements in the lower atmosphere. An analytical expression for the N(h) relationship is proposed, which is valid for all heights of the atmosphere.
