An exact solution to the Einstein-Yang-Mills equation is presented. The solution takes the form of a closed Friedmann universe with the energy-momentum tensor dominated by large time-dependent magnetic fields. It exists only in non-abelian gauge theory. The stability of the solution is analyzed in detail. It is found that there is one, and only one unstable fluctuation mode of non-abelian gauge fields.
