The results are given of measurements of dust in the near-earth space, based on studies of meteors, micrometeor material, and micrometeoroids. A series of articles is presented, which give the results of studies of dust in the upper atmosphere, primarily by various studies of twilight phenomena. The possibilities of usable photoelectric observations of satellities as they enter the shadow of the earth are discussed. The results of voluminous, primarily ground observations of light scattering by tropospheric dust particles are included.
