EARLY in 1922 I was asked by the Secretary of State for the Colonies to
undertake an Anopheline and anti-malaria survey in the island of
Mauritius. I accepted this mission, and had the pleasure of devoting ten
months of intensive investigation to a survey of unusual interest.
