Models of solar coronal phenomena are used to argue that the difference between the minimum and maximum types of the solar corona is due to electrical coronal currents. Global coronal current coupling with a solar magnetic field causes typical patterns of the solar corona in minimum epochs. The symmetric coronal pattern of maximum epoch is explained by the deficiency of a global current.
