To improve the accuracy of the Space Solar Telescope (SST) control system, a star sensor is used for measuring the attitude of the satellite. A simulator to simulate the sky using still or moving stars is indispensable for researching and developing the star sensor system in laboratory. The authors introduce how the star sensor works real-timely by using a notebook computer with a 1024×768 back-lit display to simulate sky. The simulation system can be used on ground easily, to test how the satellite attitude control system works.
