The restoration of the spatial spectrum of irregularities of the interplanetary medium from scintillation observations is discussed. Numerical calculations of the temporal autocorrelation spectra of scintillations are presented for various models of the spatial spectrum and the solar wind velocity distribution. The restoration of the spatial spectrum of irregularities from observed scintillations at one point is shown to depend on both the width of the velocity distribution at the moment of the observation and on the noise level of the receiver, i.e., the degree to which sufficiently accurate measurements can be maintained in the high-frequency range. The applicability of the criterion of Lotova and Chashei (1980) to the processing of scintillation data is discussed.
