The 11-yr signal in the variation of the length of day is successfully
identified and linked to solar activity. Graphs are presented of yearly
values of sunspot number, yearly variations of mean sea level, and
length of day. It is suggested that the mean sea level is a source of
the 11-yr earth rotation variation.
