Synchronous ground-based observations of Pc 3-5 geomagnetic pulsations along the geomagnetic meridian make it possible to establish the growth of spatial wavelength with increasing pulsation period for natural MHD oscillations of the magnetosphere. It is shown that this approach can be used to isolate the natural oscillations of the magnetosphere from the entire spectrum of observed pulsations, and to investigate the structure of the Alfven wave velocity field in the magnetosphere.
