A preliminary analysis of the cusp-boundary layer system has been conducted by combining optical and magnetic observations. The application of frequency domain analysis to the magnetic data reveals characteristic spectral features in the Pc 5 band which correlate with the optical data taken from the meridian scanning photometer. The instrumentation used in the study is described, and observations are discussed in terms of the overall morphology of the cusp-boundary layer system.
