The response of the radio channel to ionospheric disturbances caused by magnetospheric substorms or storms is analyzed on the basis of experimental data for an extended subauroral radio path 9-Mm long. Carrier-frequency reception was carried out in the 5-18 MHz range. Real-time signal processing made it possible to calculate a number of statistical characteristics: the nonstationary parameters, the time-correlation radius, the Nakagami-law parameter, the degree of ionospheric turbidity, and spectral parameters, etc.
