A model of the distribution function of electrons in the plasmasphere is constructed on the basis of the experimental data on fluxes of energetic electrons in the equatorial plane of the plasmasphere given by Lyons and Williams (1974). The temperature and pitch-angle anisotropy of the distribution function are studied in particular. The model is shown to be reliable for L values up to about 4.0 and energies up to about 300 keV.
