Following several European countries, especially Denmark and the Netherlands, which are planning offshore wind parks of several 100 MW, also German private investors have started such initiatives. A particularly promising 500 MW project in the North Sea, near Helgoland, is in the planning stage. Especially approval-related questions are discussed here.
