The previous work of the authors (1991) is extended to investigate generalized static-metric charged dust sources and their origin. There are no finite static uncharged dust sources because the energy density and the effective gravitational mass become zero and the space-time becomes flat in the absence of charge. Static charged dust sources are of purely electromagnetic origin regardless of any symmetry, and the 'Weyl-Majumdar-Papapetrou' sources are cited as an example.
