The last several orbits of the Galileo spacecraft around Jupiter provide the closure on a complete survey of its magnetosphere as a function of local time. These final observations are in the dayside sector, a region which is important for understanding the global character of the convective flows in Jupiter's plasma sheet. We present measurements of the densities, temperatures, and bulk flow velocities of the ion thermal plasmas as gained with the Galileo plasma instrumentation (PLS) and compare these parameters with those for the plasmas in the tailward region of the magnetosphere. These plasmas are examined for evidence of large-scale temporal variations, or "storms", on orbit-to-orbit time scales. In addition, the results of a search are reported for the intense field-aligned electron beams in the energy range of keV to tens of keV which were found in the late evening and midnight sectors of the plasma sheet. These electron beams were located at Jovian radial distances of 20 to 30 RJ with sufficient energy fluxes to account for the far-ultraviolet emissions of the main ring of the planet's auroral emissions.
